Northwell Urgent Care centers receive Autism Friendly Designation

Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care has announced that five new medical centers have received the Autism Friendly Designation, including a center in Syosset.  The designation began recognizing medical centers in 2024 and previously named urgent care locations in East Northport, Hewlett and Lake Success, according to a spokesperson for Northwell. This will be the first year that Northwell’s Syosset Urgent Care location received the designation and joins other newly designated centers in Yaphank, Hudson Valley and on Staten Island.  “I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm our team members have for this program, and we’ll continue to focus on expanding access to inclusive care for other communities,” Dr. Gina Ruocchio, clinical manager of pediatrics for Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, said in a statement.  She said that in February, all three locations successfully renewed their designation and that the new locations received the honor in April, which, she said, expands acce
